Hey, i read somewhere that while your having a bad trip, that you take thorazine. Im not sure if this is true or not, but if it is, does anyone know where the average person can aquire some?

Certainly not an OTC drug, or one that is commonly abused on the streets.

if you were going to utilize a prescription drug in this manner, you would probably be better off with an atypical antipsychotic.

a good example of this would be Seroquel. it'll knock your ass out.

also...i prefer benzo's when trips turn sour if you are going to turn to any drug. Plus benzos are easy to come by on the streets without a script, and pretty easy to get a script for too if you have anxiety problems.

I don't think they use thorazine anymore. They have it around but it's not of the norm today.

You cause valium or any kind of downer

I've taken valium before and I can say that if you are having a bad trip that it will take care of that and anything else for that matter lol.

One thing you really need to realize though is that all of these drugs are VERY addictive. If you are worried about needing something if a trip goes bad I dare say that perhaps it's best not to do them at all. When I had that valium it was for an operation I had. Benzos are not to be fucked with.

I'd rather have a bad trip than deal with the effects of thorazine, really. If you must, though, I think you have to either get it through prescription or steal it from a hospital.

theres much better ways to stop a bad trip than using other drugs.

-try turning on the lights if they are off
-change the music if its scary, or simply turn off the music all together
-call a friend and talk to them
-turn on the happiest music you can find
-if your in public GET OUT

watch TV and get entranced with it. watch a stupid/funny movie. they usually make you forget about what you were worrying about before, or act as a distraction.

i dont really think theres a drug that can make your trip better than if you just work to make it better.

ummmmm...
jus' start off with 100 mg of niacinamide or inositol hexa-nicotinate, mmmm?
benzodiazapines (or even 50mg, & no more, of the ubik antihistamine diphenhydramine (beanadryl, benalin, &c) (mmmm maybe even phenergan, hehheh...)
no, just some B3 & some vit C, that's the ticket, don'cha know...
cuppa chamomile & a chunk o' ginseng yowza...

thats well and good, but if you had any experience you would know there are sometimes when people just flip out. You cant get them to do anything that you mentioned and the factors of the situation cant be changed. I hate people that get all high and mighty and act like using a benzo to change your trip is some kind of sin.

Your suggestions are great for when someone is tripping out a little bit and not really comming to terms with the tripping experience, or if they are a bit uncomfortable with their surroundings.

It doesnt help for the guy that cant see anything because the visuals are too much, but he is still running around naked screaming, begging for it all to stop because he took to much. Benzos in this situation can be the best thing for everyone...unless you enjoy watching people do enough pyscological damage to bring on HPPD and other disorders?

Yeah, there are times when people need to either be tied up or pumped full of sedatives. I'd usually go for tying them up. Evil as it sounds, it's better, in my opinion, than calling the police or an ambulance, or giving them dangerous drugs.

Id hate to have to tie someone up, id much rather work on convincing them to take the little white 1mg of ativan (which is certainly not dangerous at all, and usually does the trick). I do agree that anything is better than calling the police/ems. Nothing will ruin a persons life quicker than that...a bad trip sucks, but a bad trip involving police and EMS can change your life, and not in the good way especially short term.

If you care about the people you trip with, then never call the police unless there really is serious danger (this is why a sitter should be around, understand serious danger while tripping can be difficult as pespectives are skewed). Work with someone having a bad trip first...as mentioned above there are alot of things that can be done to change a trip around. Alot of times, your typical bad trip is because your body is uncomfortable and cant find away to alert you to that uncomfortable feeling properly. However, sometimes none of that works and its good to have benzos on hand. You arent going to get addicted to a benzo by using it once to bring someone down from a horrible place, and its much better that they take the benzo to come down than go through the trip and end up with psychological disorders that end up with them perscribed benzos and taking them the rest of their life.

yeah have benzo thorazine is bad. its so bad it should be illegal it does nothing but harm. i had my psych professor who hated it. yeah its not good stuff and ruins lifes, specailly for anyone on a long term RX(they will be drolling zombies drolling on themselves look it up) yeah thorazine is bad M'k
