Does anyone else..

Relate their lives and surroundings to video games...like if I see a building with a lot of ivy on the side ill think..if I was Link I would be able to climb up that building. or all the newly blooming flowers on trees lately make me think of Okami... hehe..other silly stuff too just pops into my head...its fun you should do it too

Ya.....dude.
Ive been hooked on video game my whole life. I decided recently that I'm going to go cold turkey, at least in the home.

I anticipate new video game releases years in advance. I waste hours of my time, daily, on something that provides little pleasure most of the time, and no catharsis. Unless a game is a "work of art and storytelling" its just wasting your time.

So I'm selling my 360, and doing some cleaning on my hard drive. I need more fulfillment in my life for the time I spend.

i hate to admit it, but i do as well. I was walking down the street last week, a pigeon walked over to me. I popped my hand into my grocery bag and threw him some bread. Instanly i was in Okami - I came home told my man, and he said "Did it feel like Okami" My actions were justified. Its not "sad" if you arent obsesing about it. Especially if you play a game for hours on end, of course it is going to seep into your non gaming time.

and...unless your a junkie and are looking to LIVE in a video game world or something..i wouldnt find it depressing or sad..its just a silly thing that randomly pops into my head when im out and about..just makes me smile is all

Man I just downloaded C&C 3 .. what a game.

I often fantasise in my free time how easy it would be to dominate the world if I had just 1 GDI base :grin:

My mom once said I acted like those characters in video games and anime, and once I thought about it and realized it was sort of true, I wanted to kill myself because I cannot imagine anything more sad

But if I did that I'd just be acting like a character in a video game or anime

I used to. I used to alot. I used to be big into unreal, specifically using the editor. I've designed a few custom maps for some mods like Deja Vu and Rocket Arena, as well as some independent CTF and DM maps. I miss those days.

My friend was addicted to an internet game called Runescape when we were younger. One night when he was asleep he actually said he was going to teleport somewhere. It was kinda weird.
