Though I'm sure if we chalked it down to it, we probably made like 5 cents an hour played But still nice to get a return on investment at the end of the day. I never really regretted it though I've come back a few times to experience the expansions and generally be disappointed and quit within a month of maxxing a char.... They gotta start up that nostralius again.. Was actually having fun on there..! The world pvp aspect of vanilla was definitely one of my favorites.

5 cents an hour is probably a generous estimate
I had so many hours into that toon it was fucking disgusting. It was measured in days, not hours, and pretty sure I had like 3+ years played time
Still, even though it was a full time job with overtime, I had a shit ton of fun..
Made friends I'm still close with to this day.. and made a little bit of money back for my time spent. So not a loss at all.

As I calculated it... I played literally 1/3rd of the time that passed while I owned the game... Each day was broken up into about 8-10 hours gameplay, 7 hours school, a few miscelaneous things and about 4 hours of sleep... I'd catch naps throughout the day at school. It got the point where my parents just took my bed out of my room so I had to sleep in the other room. But I just waited until they went to bed and went back in my room and played until 4 am.... lmao. I was playing on dial up too in the Idaho wilderness There were literally times when someone would need to use the internet or it would break during a raid and I'd literally just like, cry I had no clue what to do with myself.

I basically just lied to my guildmates and told them I was 21 (I was 14-15) so they didn't seem to have any problem making me 2nd in command
