is it ok to make kids cry for the sake of photographs?
    #6736867 -

A rather famous photographer, Jill Greenberg (she took the cover photo for the new Gwen Stefani CD) took a set of photos of children crying.

This was for the sake of outwardly expressing her own raw emotions in regards to our current status as humans, including the war.
She gave these kids lolli-pops, then took them away and photographed their reactions.

It's pretty weird, to me it's almost funny if you think all these tears are over a lolli-pop, but should she be able to just use these kids for the sake of her own emotions and photography?

She also takes human-like pictures of monkeys and bears...

This is her website, with all her pics:
If you go to it, click the kid and it'll take you to the set i mentioned.

I say let them cry. They'll get over it in two minutes and will never remember it.

i agree, i just can't figure out if it's really a emotion based, honest idea or she was just trying to be overly-dramatic and bring attention to herself...

If you gotta take action to create a mood...I don't think that really qualifies as raw.

Why would anybody use any one other than the default? The default one looks the best.

Vintage Shroomery, FTW!

Its a small vice, but its kinda evil to deliberately make kids cry so you can photograph em.

When I snuck up on my cat and grabbed the fish off his bowl from under his nose to mess with his little head he bit me - nobody likes to have their treat taken from them.
