The Coachella schedule is posted, and I want to cry
    #4106124 - 04/28/05 10:12 AM (11 years, 9 months ago)

You know, when you go to a festival that's got 60 bands over 2 days on five stages, you expect some conflicts...last year was actually pretty conflict free but this year I have some real tough choices:

Nine Inch Nails is on at the same time as British Sea Power AND Pinback (I pick NIN but it's still tough)
Coldplay is on at the same time as Spoon (FUCK!!!!!!!)
Wilco is on at the same time as UNKLE (Wilco I think)
Bauhaus cuts into half of Mercury Rev's set
Gang of Four cuts into Arcade Fire (Gotta leave for Arcade Fire)
Bloc Party has all sorts of conflicts with Bauhaus and Mercury Rev, sigh.

Thank goodness I can see The Shout Out Louds, Fiery Furnaces, New Order, The Faint, Black Star, Bright eyes and more without having to worry about missing anything else. I'm gonna be running around stoned outta my mind.

Heh...Yeah I am gonna try and catch them..I just want to hear "Bela Lugosi's Dead" and their cover of "Ziggy Stardust"...that would kick so much ass! I bet Peter Murphy's a fucking freak.

yer crazy!

Not only have I seen Wilco on multiple occasions but their live sets are plentiful for download. Also, there will be many more opportunities to see Wilco.

UNKLE, otoh... Well, I've never seen them or even heard of them being on tour close to me. Secondly, other than a few single tracks I've never seen a single live UNKLE set. Also, the "lineup" or guests for UNKLE could be anybody and everybody.

You must be one die-hard Wilco fan...

I am quite a die-hard Wilco fan...there's not a thing they've done that I haven't loved, and that includes back in Jeff Tweedy's days with Uncle Tupelo, the awesome alt-country outfit. They're great. I've seen Wilco maybe 5 or 6 times and would gladly drop UNKLE to see them a 7th, actually.

I don't think it's sold out...but it's in Palm Desert Springs, California.

:tongue2:

It took a huge chunk outta my wallet but I couldn't pass it up. I had a wonderful time out there last year...it's a great festival, well run, cheapest water of any concert I've been to (2 bucks, better than fucking 4), and it's a great setting, a fake but real feeling meadow in the middle of the desert surrounded by mountains. Sunset there is gorgeous. Lots of people shroom.

They're from Brooklyn so they play around here a lot...I kind of got tired of their CD/show after a while..it gets old. If they're not conflicting with anything else I'd go dance in the tent for a while but probably not if there's anything else.

Yeah, it's really dancy. If you like them, you should check out a band called "VHS or Beta"

Yeah, I've heard them. I really didn't like the singer's voice, though.

Kasabian is sweet, too. I'd like to see them in concert.

The singer for VHS or Beta wishes he was Robert Smith from the Cure..and it won't happen anytime soon.  Especially because he's asian. I kid, I kid.

Yeah man Kasabian is really trippy...their live show is a lot more pretentious though...like a lot of British bands, they think they can get by just by acting what they think is "cool." Just like "We're Kasabian, we rock, we're British, love us!"

There is a hell of a lineup there. I wish I lived around there or could afford a plane ticket.
