are pix resized??

I uploaded some pix and somehow they seem to have been resized?

Not all of them, but a few turned into 600 pixls wide?

Not usually. However, if the filesize of an image is above the limit (256k for non-supporters), it tries to recompress and resize the image first, rather than rejecting it outright. That's probably what you ran into.

Yes I've seen that happen.
But the way is resizes pictures is really bad. I cranks the jpg quality and resolution down much more than needed to get to 256K.
But I guess people should just watch out that there images don't exceed 256k
