More specifically it is probably metabolic waste...shroom shit. This is not bad until there is a significant build up. This condition is exasterbated by temps that are held at too high a level for too long and/or aging mycelium. Nothing really to worry about, you will be enjoying your shrooms long before it could become a problem  ------------------

well it seems i have the same problem but probably worse. i have large groups w/ yellow growth also sprinkled in are little dark red spots. i don't know what it is. some ppl said it was just from too much water and the spots are primordia. i've only had them incubating for like 2 weeks. ------------------

Well SyKoDelyK I don't know what you have. With only 2 weeks of colonization, you not likely to have primordia or pinns. I've been doing this for over 20 years and have not run into what your speaking of. I have seen red dots/beads before but that was rust from a metal lid. Yellow liquid is often metabolic waste...but what you describe sounds different. Can you get a picture?------------------

its light yellow mostly. but there are some little red dots in some of them where the yellow is. so i'm not sure but the jars have mycelium that is continuing to grow so i'm gonna let em sit and see what happens.------------------
