Guitarist turns his guitar INVISIBLE and puts on performance!!!
    #6709044 -

Scientists in Japan have begun to develop technology to make things invisible!!!

Quote:
What is Optical Camouflage?

Optical camouflage is a kind of active camouflage.

This idea is very simple. If you project background image onto the masked object, you can observe the masked object just as if it were virtually transparent.

This shows the principle of the optical camouflage using X'tal Vision. You can select camouflaged object to cover with retroreflector. Moreover, to project a stereoscopic image, the observer looks at the masking object more transparent.

Optical camouflage can be applied for a real scene. In the case of a real scene, a photograph of the scene is taken from the operator's viewpoint, and this photograph is projected to exactly the same place as the original. Actually, applying HMP-based optical camouflage to a real scene requires image-based rendering techniques.

I thought I was not an air-guitarist either. But I just listened to Dragonforce- Through the Fire and Flames and I might as well have been air guitaring all this time >.<

How can people be so good.

My list of guitars goes a long way, but, only one remains.

My favorite amp was a Marshall stack I bought from Guitar Center. Great sound straight out with no effects. I no longer own an amp and play quiet strings on my last electric.

Of the guitars I've had one of the coolest was my Steinberger Trans Trem. Dirty distortion but clean as a whistle and could transpose tune up three octaves and down two with all strings in unison. Paid 2500 for that bastard then they sold out to Gibson and the originals are pretty much collectors now.

I sold that to buy a Clapton Series Fender Strat. The best guitar I've ever laid fingers on. Frets perfectly laid, pickups were fat as hell...I always used the rear but throw in the other two and you couldn't get a fatter sound.

I think thats awesome you started on a 12 string. Never owned one, but played them many times at the music stores. The sound is so rich with twelve strings. Maybe I'll look to invest in one.

I had a buddy last week that just bought a REALLLLLY nice marshall cab. He paid out a good 650 on it...and it wasnt even all that large in size.

God that thing sounded like heaven with an array of decent pedals at your disposal.

All I have so far is a shitty Yamaha SEsomething, a LTD EC-400AT (not sure, it says that on the 12th fret) and an ovation electric/acoustic.

In the future I want to get a hollowbody electric.. and another electric.. something to replace my Yamaha strat-ripoff, since I'm gonna give it to a friend.

I looked into amps a year ago and couldn't get over the prices for what you get.

I haven't played through a tube in almost a decade.

I always wanted a hollowbody electric. Those twelver hollowbody's are sweet.

Next time I'm in the cities I'll have to stop and see what's out there.

The 12 string is a Yamaha from the early 70's. I've seen it on Ebay for under $100. I like the sound of it, but my fingers would deaden other strings; I'm sure I'll return to it once I get more skill.
Right now I'm playing an Ibanez Gio, cheap electric guitar. I have no idea how to work all the adjustments on it (action, etc) so mine sounds like crap. I'm trying to save up for a new guitar soon.

That's my newest. the EC400AT. It was a bit of an impulse, and it didn't cost too much, but turns out I made a good choice

Do you have any suggestions for an amp? The one I have is sooo old.. and crappy. Traynor TS-25.. it's fine for when I'm practising in my room.. but I need a new one. Any expert advice would be great :p
