Ever get busted from asking hunting permission

Anyone here ever get busted after asking for permission?

You know like they said it's cool but 5 minutes later the cop show up and bust you...

well I personally have never asked...but once someone gives you permission you should record it, maybe have your video camra out while your asking if you can go on their land, your basically just a mycologist recording some shrooms or something. But yeah when the cops come you can show them the clip of you asking and them saying "yes" with out them threataning that cops will come...that way you have a bigger chance of not getting busted.

yeah...

What I also meant was that what if the dude gave you permission but behind your back they call the cops on you for picking druggie mushrooms...

What do you do in that situation?

Well they might have a harder time getting a warrent if you have proof that you had permission for access. even though some cops will nag you and nag you...like they might say, "well why won't you let me search your bag? Is something bad in there?" after that you could say "I've given you the proof you need". ANOTHER SOLUTION, maybe have some inactive mushrooms in your bag or something and pull that out and show it to him as back up.

Would you guys serouisly consider asking permisison to pick mushrooms while holding a video camera? lol red neck would probly shoot your ass...screaming shrooms got to ya dident they boy?you should buy a cow

Yeah thanks for the advice everyone.

Maybe what I'll do this coming hunt is drive around until I actually see some mushrooms then come back around 3:00am, jump the fence, do a quick grab and speed away...

if they give you permission is completly fine and no law is broken. you should never mention the words psycho-active, psychedelic or psilocybin when asking for permission, say your gaining research for local fungus and mycologicaly purposes tahts usually what I say, along with that I like to bring some delicious specimens with me too sweeten the deal, usually some scrumptcious porcini or oysters.

I've never encountered police...but when i encounter anyone i usually tell them that i am doing a school report on psychedelic mushrooms and how they can be conveniently found in the "wild"

I wouldn't mention the psychoactivety part. Few people can tell what active mushrooms look like, and if you mention that they are "gourmet" or "edible", and if further questioned, even about psychoactives, you just say:

"Haha, no, nothing specifically. I just collect specimens for the hobby of identifying and getting aqcuainted with different species. If I find some edibles- oyster or chicken of the woods or something- along the way, it'd be a pleasant surprise."

Then the next come the warnings of poisonous mushrooms. Assure them by saying stuff like:

"Oooh, yeah, you really have to know what you are doing. You'd be a dead fool if you want around eating random mushrooms!"

Then give some examples of poisonous look-a-likes for common edibles, and they usually depart with something like:

"Well, you seem to know what you're doing- be careful and good luck finding mushrooms!"

Yeah that's great. I will do some research before I ask for permission. I think if I can convince people that I knew a lot about mushrooms...
