I'm a newbie, I've been experimenting with magic mushrooms for almost two months now. We've went hunting a few times but always to the same two fields. Now, we've stopped going to one of the fields because of a combination of danger and the lack of mushrooms we were finding due to the high grass. We always go hunting at night sometime between 3-6 am. Now we're down to one field which isnt good because not only do we NOT get enough for the people who go, but I think that sneaking into this field which is right next to a neighborhood may lead to legal problems with the police. Anyway, to the questions. First, when is the prime time to go hunting? I've been led to believe that it is between 5-7. Second, I've found other fields but they are very difficult to sneak into. Is it possible or even worth my time to try to ask permission from the landholders? If so, what would I say to them since I cant just admit to what my true intentions are of roaming around in their fields. I think that if I went during the day it would greatly increase the mushrooms I could find and decrease the chances of getting pulled over with a bag of shrooms in the car. However, until I can get permission from someone I cant just go to fields and hunt during the day for fear of arrest.
I appreciate anyone who can help me with this. Thanks.

I've never hunted in a field for actives myself, but I think asking the landowner for permission to go on their property is worth a try. If I were to do this, the excuse I would use is that I am a mycology student studying local mushrooms. Explain that fields are an excellent place to find some interesting specimens and ask if it would be alright to take a look around.
Also, do a search for "asking permission" or something like that in this forum. There have been a few threads about it which have some good advice and stories from people who have first-hand experience.
i like to check out all my areas in the day when i can spot any patches and then wait for the darkness to go in and swoop em up. I dunno bout trying to get into anyone's pastures during the day but i spose u could say u were doing some sort of pollution study or something of that matter where u would have to look all around the ground. lol, i dunno, just my two bits. good luck man
