Yes. I'll move it there. You should match the tubes that are on the same ballast from an electrical standpoint. Cool white bulbs are usually a light temperature of around 5000 kelvin, and natural sunlight bulbs are around 7000K, which should be much better, especially for the fruiting stage.

cool whites are good because of their blue light output. growing cannabis no, but if your cloning they are fine.

I honestly recommend Compact fluorescent ,they are easy to place anywhere you want and are easier to pack in than big fixtures, even giving each plant it's own bulb or 2 if you wanted to get crazy.

Also yep just the cool white is needed to promote dense growth in veg you would only switch to a better color (more red)for flower if for whatever reason you wanted fluoros the whole time.

cool white 4100K is the cheapest $1 a bulb. natural or sunlight have more of a usable spectrum 6500K

Do you use that combination (one 'cool' & one 'warm') for vegetative growth only & then switch to different bulbs for flowering... or do you use that combo from start to finish

Yes, i picked up both bulbs at home depot, unless you actually get an employee who knows lighting don't bother asking the difference btwn cool and warm. They won't be able to help you, instead just read the package it'll say it right on the label.

I use the cool and warm fluoro for veg growth simply because it's easier to keep cool, uses less power, and is a tad cheaper. For flowering i switch my plants into my grow tent underneath a 430 watt HPS light, wouldn't imagine using anything but an HPS for flowering.
