EZ-Clone test

Ok, I've been told my cutting method is a pain in the ass http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/5703095/an/0/page/2

Ok agreed. Decided to test a easy to do method that I liked. Tested something called a EZ-Clone. (Now go to the ez-clone site you guys can build this thing for very cheap with hardware store stuff but I'm lazy and I'll hand over a buck for molded parts but it is over priced).

To do this just take the cutting, dip in gel, put in the center of the foam and insert. Fill with water turn on and done.


Well this is one week later.


A very simple idea that seems to work pretty well. Water was just plain tap that wasn't even ph adjusted. No domes or misting is needed. Costs to much but it gets the full 4 stars or two thumbs up.  :thumbup: :thumbup:

(you can make your own version in about 30 to 45 min  :wink: )

theres a cool product out also called "Wilt Pruf" or something that you can get at Home Depot.  You just spray on your clones or dip them in it. It stops the clones from transpiring and losing water by coating the  pores with waxy stuff.
  no misting or worrying about a humidity dome :thumbup:
  used in combo with that would work well

yes i just used some vita wilt and it is the best thing ever

i misted the clones once with it and i only have time to water/mist 4 in the am and 8 at night ans they look like they are still on the mother plant

good stuff i will never go with out again

oh yea i also use it when rooting salvia

The thing I le about the ez clone is there is no need for anything like that no dome, wilt proof, or misting. Just cut dip and put in.

yeah I had an aerocloner and didn't have much luck with it.
nowdays I just put them in a glass of water and change the water every day. I even use the same glass for many at a time. I know its not good to do but it takes me 10 minutes to do 50 or so.

am i the only one who doesn't have a problem cloning? I was interested in the ez cloner, but the 3 dollar humidity dome with plastic tray and a few 10 cent peat pellets and some cloning gel work just fine. All the clones ive taken have rooted in 7 days or less.

to minimize surface as surface = evaporation = moisture loss and you dont want that.
