what would i have to do to get a program like the ban lottery to randomly ban users? im not a programmer at all. so are there programs out there that i can download?

okay nevermind. can someone just tell me how it works? how does a user get banned? does the program just randomly pick someone? i see odds, i was just wondering.

First you should learn PHP and mySQL, and get a website. Write a simple script where users can enter the lotto. When they click submit it will collect their names and save them in a database. Then write another script to run as a scheduled task, and every week it should select a random user from the database. You can do this with '...ORDER BY RAND LIMIT 1'. Ban that particular user by changing their banned field in the main users database. Then empty the lottery database to prepare for a new week of entries. Simple! :smile: And probably the best answer you'll get unless you revise your question.
