ipod masters - need help ASAP

I have an Ipod that I need to get all my stuff off of. I have 4700 songs and a bunch of pictures that I'd really like to have. The Ipod is in Mac format and my PC is a windows machine.

Is there anyway to get my files?

When I try to get them it says I have to reformat the Ipod and it will errase all files.

The Ipod is the ex's and I have today and today only to get all my media.
