tap root on cake?

i got this thing thats like 1/4 of a inch long growing str8 down into my geo lite on my cake is this normal it dont have a cap on it should i cut it off?

That's interesting. I have never heard anything like that. Personally I would do more than cut it off. I would cut that bad boy outta there. No ?'s asked.

Sometimes the more aggressive strains reach out from the cake with strands of rhizomorphic mycelium.

Post a picture of it.

shit its not there no more when i went to fix the water in the pod i had to take the cake out now that im looking it must of broke off. sorry it did look weird tho it looked like a small stem wit no cap growing str8 down

ok thanks alot well this is the whole reason its called a test cake lol. ya that tap broke off but now ill know next ime who knows the cake is still on th beggining of its first flush so maybe it will grow another:)
