Staying logged in after closing IE

Is anyone able to stay logged in after closing IE and then starting up again? I can't. I did some investigation, maybe I found the problem:
I hooked up a network sniffer and looked at the cookies set when I logged in. Here it is, some stuff xx'd out because it may be sensitive.
HTTP: Set-Cookie = w3t_myid=xxxx; expires=Wed, 12-Jun-02 15:02:21 GMT; path=/ HTTP: Set-Cookie = w3t_key=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; expires=Wed, 12-Jun-02 HTTP: Set-Cookie = w3t_mysess=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; path=/ HTTP: Set-Cookie = w3t_language=english; expires=Wed, 12-Jun-02 15:02:21 GMT; path=/ HTTP: Set-Cookie = ubbt_pass=deleted; expires=Thu, 31-May-01 15:02:20 GMT; path=/ HTTP: Set-Cookie = ubbt_pass=deleted; expires=Thu, 31-May-01 15:02:20 GMT; path=/
Okay one possible issue:
1) The cookie w3t_mysess does not have an expiration date on it. So IE will treat it as a session cookie and delete it when the browser closes. If this cookie needs to be kept around, it needs to be given an expiration date.
I suspect that w3t_mysess is supposed to be regenerated when a new browser session starts from w3t_myid and w3t_key, but I don't have accesss to w3t sourcecode to figure out whats going on there.
Some comments:
2) ubbt_pass has its expiration date set in the past, obviously to force it to be deleted (hence the documentative value "deleted" given to the cookies). Thats fine.

I've only recently had this problem. It started today when i deleted two files. They were both cookeis from the shroomery (it wouldn't log me in, each time i click the login option, it would jump to a page that said "user name/password does not exist") One of the cookies was labeled "faq" the other i'm guessing was my log in. Any way, i have to keep my home screen open, or i can't reply to any threads.
