Technical problems logging in with IE.

I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this or not. But anyways my regular handle here is Rail_Gun and I tried logging in with it in IE several times and it wouldn't cookie me for some reason. So I though, well, maybe they updated somthing and my PW got reset so I put in my email for the request PW and got it but for the name Data, lol. This is one of my old handles. But then I tried logging in with this one and it still wouldn''t cookie me. So I started up the old netscape and I'm logged in with NP's. I jst can't figure out why IE won't cookie me. I have the settings to always allow cookies for shroomery.org and shroomery.com. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome. And BTW, this is the only forum that can't cookie me in IE, all my other forums have NP's...

Well, apparently I have no problem logging in using netscape, but IE just will not cookie me... Any ideas?

Ha! This puppet registered over a year before you did and a while before my RG handle. So if anything RG would be a puppet of Data, which would make no sense since as the records can indicate this is the first time Data has logged in in over a year. The account was sort of rediscoved by accident. And now looking at the email addiesthat it's regged to is the same for both accounts as well, so if my intent was to be a puppeteer I wouldn't fool anyone having the same emal for 2 different accounts...

But I still can't figure out what the error is in IE. I had upgraded software about a month ago, but it was running smoothly since then, except for the occasional error, and MS products are always buggy anyways...

Hey... are you also having problems logging in to some other forums, or saving pictures, by any chance?

Try clearing the cache (Tools... Internet Options... under Temporary Internet Files, select Delete Files). If this is indeed the problem, it'll take minute or two, so don't panic. :smile:

No, but saving pics, yes!!! TY the problem is fixed. I don't know how it worked but it did. TY again! :smile:
