okay i think that i should have said somthing about this 6 months ago when it first happened. but this is what happens. i will go on the site a few times a day. when im done i close the window, and walk away when i come back minutes or hours later i will type www.shroomery.org/forums/login into my browser
ocasionally i will go right to my home and it will appear as if i am logged in (not normal). so i will go to the main index and it will appear as if im not logged in, so i will click on the log in screen and it takes me back to my home, when this happens i can view all of the forums but i cant post and if i try to login it brings me to my home where i can view all of my pm's and stuff
does this happen to anyone else? im thinking it has to do with cookies or somthing

zippoz "in times of widespread chaos and confusion, it has been the duty of more advanced human beings - artists, scientists, clowns, and philosophers - to create order. In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption"

I've been there... you have to close the browser completely, then open it again, and you should be able to log on if you're not already...

These problems are usually caused by cookie issues.
Visit http://www.shroomery.org/forums/logout.php Then http://www.shroomery.org/forums/mycookies.php and click "Expire Cookies" Then Login again at http://www.shroomery.org/forums/login.php
That should fix you up nicely.
cyberbeast: Don't create puppets and you wouldn't have that problem!

Nope, there is only one acceptible reason for a puppet and that is to use it as a Cultivation/Grow Log account in efforts to further protect your annonymity. In this case, you should always inform an administrator when you create the cultivation puppet, such that we may designate it as such, and so that it won't be banned erroneously.
OTD is for the most part, the reason we had to crack down on puppets. At first it was all fun and games but then everyone jumped on the puppet bandwagon and you couldn't tell what the hell was going on
