The Scream Isolation chamber
    #648151 -

I call it that, my fruiting chamber.... That reminds me:

It has a heating element underneath it which is a heating pad. The container is a 70L Steralite container. Perlite is in the bottom. 5 Casings in there and EACH has mycellium growth (some more than others). Also....all look like there moisture dropplets on the mycellium (or cobweb mold ; haven't figured this out yet ). IS this normal?

I know this has been thrown out by many people on how theirs is setup....Was just wondering if it OK....[feels like the first time she gagged because i was too big... too much info?

Oh yeah, its been cose to TWO weeks since they went in there.....Kinda concernd

feel the bottom of your casing try, if its warm to the touch youve cooked your casings dry. I did a few tests before placing the try directly on the perlite and concluded it would be to hot. So what i did was take a section of eggcreate padding and set it on top of the perlite spikes down. Heat collects underneith keeping it just barly cool to the touch (remember water at 94/5F cant be felt so mid-low eightys should be a little cool)

nut i think it would be safe to say youve cooked em dry, even maintaning proper humidy. The problem is your humidity is now coming from the water in your case. =\

I am definately sure they are not dry. I think what it is is that the virgins, like moi, get paranoid about thier conditions. Thanks though, I will check!

Like HST? Me too!

Heating pads arent the best of devices, i learned the hard way. I dryed out SOOOOO many jars without relizing it, untill i finnally figured out what the problem was. Dont get me wrong they do a great job, but youve gotta make a stand of sorts for your stuff to sit on other wise just about everything you put on them get dried.
