Hey

is there an elegant way to send a PM to several recipients?

I'd really like such a feature. It would be even better if there was an option to choose multiple recipients from the address book.

It would've been nice when I sent out all my AZ gathering tshirt pm's. That took forever, even though I copied and pasted the body of the message into like 40 individual PM's.

Yeah, the reason we haven't added this is due to the potential for abuse. However, mods are able to send bulk PMs so if you have a mass mailing (like with a gathering) you can contact that forum's mod to help with distribution.
