I have to agree strongly that these shrooms give great visuals.. it might've because I have never taken that high a dose, but I saw soooo many things.. faces of cherubs and buddhas all over the clouds, chinese dragons flying around breathing fire, if I closed my eyes and moved I would see a cartoon representation of my motions. Totally crazy. What I found interesting is that I actually saw many images that I would usually consider quite scary - they didn't bother me at all.. mm..
Strangely there wasnt much mental happening.. I mean no real shroomy indepth thoughts. Maybe the xanax has something to do with that.. hmm. The other person who tripped lost her grip with reality.. she started seeing everything as neon lights.. she described it as something like las vegas.. never heard of anything like that before on shrooms - anyone?

Yup, I get a lot of NEON when I take shrooms, especially when I took the 12 large subs, then I was in a place which I named "The Electric Neverending"!
Very bright, vibrant, lots of symbols / patterns like interlocking shapes everywhere (at one stage my carpet was made of interlocked +, - and = signs! hehehe.
So how many shrooms was the 25g each? Or however many g it was.

Well I can say that that one time which I mentioned was the closest thing to a bad trip I have had, but it was strange, because the fear would come in waves and I would get intensely scared / depressed and think I was going to die (because when you eat a lot of these raw, they do some fucked up things to your guts / internal functionings) then I would tell myself no I was ok, its only magic mushrooms and they are not poisonus, I will be ok (I was by myself for that trip which I think made it a lot scarier, I never have any troubles when I'm with friends) then I would stand up, stretch, and things would be lookin up and I'd start having fun and enjoying the trip again and keep getting side tracked until I would find myself curled up in a ball or something and it just felt fucked. Not to mention my hands and feet looked HUGE and swollen and I looked at myself in the mirror and my lips looked fucked infact my whole face did. It looked quite spotty and I dont think I was hallucinating, does anyone else get pimple type things from tripping? Coulda been the stress from when I was freaked.
But all in all that trip was a good experience and the next day I felt good and glad I was ok, and I think that trip helped me learn to control hallucinogens a lot better because jeezus that was one mother of a big trip!

By the way, bluemeanie, you (and everyone else) say that the heat destroys the active ingredients. Sure the lab-tests show this (and I am not knocking science) but I have never observed this from experience, I can remember when I first tried tea I was expecting it to be weak for that reason but actually I can notice no difference in strength or what little difference there may be is worth it for the extra quality of the trip (much less gut-fuckedness).
But if you simmer (not boil) them for just a few minutes, and wring out the shrooms as well, I think you'll always be pleased with the results.
Also this method has a really cool come-on, like you drink it and BAM you are buzzed straight away, tripping within 10-20 mins, it is one of my favourite parts of the experience!

Ill try the tea - heat oxides psilocin, but there is plenty of psilocybin in shrooms that should be okay

I always make tea now, and filter all the undesirables away with a paper towel.. and never notice a marked change in potency... although I might use a coffee strainer next time, justincase...

And is there any evidence to say that oxidised psilocybin is NOT active?
Maybe its even more potent?! Either way, its not noticeable, maybe unless you boil the fuck out of them for an hour or something.

well there is evidence that from the time that the mushroom begins to stain blue the PSILOCIN is oxidising - however psilocybin is much more stable and does not readily oxide. Some mushrooms such as Cubensis have hgh psilocin levels and do not keep their potency well in drying, let alone heat or freezing which speeds up severely the oxidisation.
However, other types of mushrooms have higher levels of psilocybin and could be simmered for a short period and not lose too much potency - the psilocin would all be fucked up, but the psilocybin would be still there

Do you guys regularly have nausea problems with these shrooms? I felt fine that time.. Please let us know how it goes bluemeanie.. might try the tea myself

Just as a sidenote.. this seemed like the shortest trip I've ever had.. despite it being soooooo damn intense the time just flew. I'm so used to trips feeling like aaaaages.. it was interesting but very unfulfilling. Probably related to set and setting... tripped in the car, it was cold outside, and I skipped uni to trip. I was punished by the shroom gods I'll be good next time hehe.

Hehe sound like you had a pretty intense trip there. When I first started shrooming this season I had a really intense trip that was varying from extremes, one minute I had total ecstacy the next I felt so bad that I felt really nausious, and when the trip wore off it was a high in its self just comming back to reality.
Some things I use to control my trip is:
1: Setting: Try doing them on a sunny day ina non crowded place where there is plenty of colour and light. eg, Bush, Golfcoarse or your local smoking park.
2:I was told by an experienced acid dumper that if you have one light beer, or 1 shot of ur favourite spirits before you trip it takes away alot of the anxiety which therefore can lead to a nightmare trip.
3: I always smoke weed at some poin of my trip, especially at the onset when you feel a little funny and nausious, after a few (Green) hits, everything becomes more relaxed and chilled.
4:If you start to feel evil from within change your setting,sitting position( some times I find refuge from bad trips by simply moving into a different boddy position), go out side but make sure you are warm.
5: When Im getting really intensly fucked that it becomes uncompfortable I go and put on Foxtel, put the channel on Discovery or Nat.Geographic and whatch trippy shows that make more sense than whatching a channel 3, C grade movies.

I'll try a bit of alco before I trip next time.. sounds interesting - I'd rather not take xanax if I can avoid it.

I've never tried tripping when it's still sunny - doesn't the sunlight hurt your eyes as they're dilated? If not my local pot park sounds great.. It's right next to a national park.. there's an amazing ledge that gives you a view all the way to the city.. and a couple of huuuuge gum trees - what are those one's called that twist around and look like 200 years old? Blue-gums or something.. heh.

I never really got the 'fear'.. it was more like holy shit man I can't believe how intense this is. At the height of it I wondered if I would stay concious as there was just soooo much going on. It lacked normal shroomy spirituality.. it just felt like a drug-fucked experience rather than a nice enlightening one. Anyway.. hopefully next time will be better

I often find the subs to be very visual and mindfucky but your mindset is 100% normal - like the mushroom is showing you its world but not eltting you participate.
However, other times i have had intensely spiritual experiences on the subs - so maybe its trip related...
I also had a spiritual experience on four grams of Tassies!
And a funky experience on homegrown Copelandia Cyanescens

.....all I can find around the inner-city are masses of those 'shaggymanes' which are edible apparently but not exactly what we are looking for hey They're everywhere, but often overnight the patches are destroyed by drunken arseholes (happens a lot around here....no idea they're helping to spread more eventually, haha)
