I just made a tiny little blowgun

I broke off a large spike from one of my pereskiopsis, and put the spike into a flint glass tube designed for laboratory use.

It shoots the spike fast enough to embed the tip of it in cardboard from a few feet away. I could tempt myself to do some pretty mean things with this... especially since these spikes are coated with an itchy irritant. I should dip the tip in a vial of LSD and dose a (willing) friend just for the novelty of it. Not many people can say they dosed on LSD by being shot with an envenomed dart. :evil:

Speaking of blowguns... does anyone happen to have a sweet thorn acacia?

I've been meaning to stick an acacia thorn into a long tube and see if they're able to work as blowdarts on their own without being modified. I figure it's close enough of an analog that I can use it to test the blowgun that Jaguar Paw makes in Apocalypto.

I want to make my own acacia-thorn blowgun :evil:
