why reload the whole page after voting in a poll? just toss that mother in a div and use ajaxform or some similar js library to reload that specific div (send your vote and then reload the poll query with voted=true or whatever).

this is what i do with my afternoons, get high and nitpicky about features on online bulletin boards :thumbup:

To be honest the whole BB needs to get an Ajax makeover eventually. Stuff like posting replies, editing, changing settings... all of it could be done without reloading the whole page. Unfortunately this site only has one Ajax programmer, and I hear he's kind of a lazy stoner. :wink: So the initial implementations have been where the technology can really improve the UI, like the pop-up post preview. As time goes on I intend to give more features the Ajax treatment. But hey are you looking for some part-time freelance work where you set your own objectives? Send me a PM, maybe this stuff doesn't have to wait for me after all. :smile:
