anyone going to these concerts??

Anyone going to be at either the Tragically Hip or Billy Talent concerts the week of Feb 5th, in London Ontario??

I got amaizing second row seats for the Hip, and floor tickets for Billy Talent. Just interested if any other shroomerites will be attending.

I'm going to see the Hip here in Winnipeg next Saturday.  London's a bit far for me :shrug:

oh yea.. you are the hip fan! Man I got these tickets out of sheer luck. I was going to buy the tickets when they first came out, but then decided not to cuz I had just boughten Billy Talent tickets, and I had not heard their new album yet. But Yarry got me the new album for xmas, and I LOVE it. I was so bummed that I didn't buy them when they were avaible. Then I was talkin to this girl at work, and her boyfriend works at the venue. She made a phone call, and like that I have second row to the stage seats! I am soooo excited. I have not been that close at a hip concert.

The hip are playing here tommorrow night and I don't have any money to go.

When nickelback comes to our town, tickets sell out in a couple days at the most.

Tickets for this have been on sale forever and there are still tickets available... :confused:

I'm mean, I'm not a huge fan of either, but as a musician I think the tragically hip are much more talented. what gives?  I'd like to go see the hip if I had the money.

No they aren't coming anytime soon.

What I meant is, Nickelback came here 4 times so far and each and everytime, you have one or two days to buy some tickets or it gets sold out.

Now don't get me wrong, they DO put on a good show, but from a musician stand point, they aren't very talented. Just commercial rock in my opinion.

Among me and a bunch of other people, the general consesus is that Tragically Hip are more talented musically, yet the 2nd time they come here(and it's been forever since they were here), there are tickets still available 2 weeks later??

Me and my friends don't get it.

If I can score some money, I'd like to score a ticket for tomorrow's show, even though I haven't heard much of their music.

really.. cuz around here they are sold out within 2 days. I was lucky and got a hook up with second row seats. But even 2 years ago when I seen them at Bayfest, it had the most ppl there that night. It was actually VERY uncomfortable to be in the crowd. I love them, I have all their albums. They are definately talented! I know what you mean about Nickelback, they are pretty basic, but I still like a lot of their songs.

Wow, actually yes, I have some decent seats for the hip concert at the JLC.
