Does Wal-Mart sell kegs?

I'm turning 21 tomorrow so I figured I'd get a ton of beer.

Someone told me a while back that they sell kegs. I don't know if it's true or not because I've never seen one in Wal-Mart.

Have you guys ever gotten a keg from there?

Annnnd...do the taps come w/the keg? Or is that like an extra 50 bucks?

I don't know if Wal-Mart has kegs or not. If they have a separate liquor department, they might, but you'd have to ask them. They'll probably have to call the beer people and have them deliver it, a lot of places don't just keep kegs in stock. There was this gas station up the street from me when I lived at my old place that 'sold' kegs. You pay for the keg and put a deposit of sorts on the tap; sometimes the cost of the tap is refunded when you return it. You'd have to ask what each place's individual policy was.

Thanks man, I figured I'd end up calling them to find out regardless. The Wal-Mart here has a beer isle but no liquor section.

My sister gave me a big ass thing of crown today. I'll save it for back up. :grin:

I know they don't sell kegs at the Wal-Mart here because in Nova Scotia liquor can only be sold in government owned liquor stores(it's bullshit)..just call them and ask if they sell kegs...one good thing about Canada though, is you only have to be 19 to buy booze and go to the bars.

people purchase and/or lease such alcoholic beverages and related paraphernalia typically at these places called "liquor stores." you obviously did not google first.

I Googled it before I posted this thread. Just because there weren't any results doesn't mean they don't. More than one person told me about them selling kegs - but of course I'm not going to believe it until I call up there. I figured I'd ask here to see if any of you have had experience ordering one from them.

I live in the SPRING BREAK CAPITAL OF THE WORLD so it would be common sense to believe that the Wal-Mart here sells kegs.

I'll probably do that tomorrow.

I messaged my friend who works for Anheuser-Busch and asked him if it would be cheaper to go through them or some 3rd party vendor. I'm still waiting for a response. :smile:

If you reserve one tonight, it will be delivered in the morning to the store, though. Otherwise, you might have to find someplace with one in stock.

Why don't you try a grocery store? Our big "chain" grocery stores usually have them.

Try a specialty liquor store around where you live. Try and not get a shitty beer in a keg, get something good.

Wal-mart sells beer, but they have a policy against selling hard liquor.

YES, Wal-Mart does allow you to RENT kegs unless they are restricted in your area. It is a good idea to call them up and reserve one. If you want to, head over to their beer section and there should be a sign hanging up high that lists the keg prices by brand. But like I said, it is better to call first so that you don't have to wait a long time to get ahold of one.

I know this because I had to work in their dairy section for a few months. They stored the kegs in the same cooler as the milk.

Why would you look for a keg of beer in walmart anyway>? :lol: I would look for more places for alcohol other then walmart.
In Utah they havent had kegs in years and years.
  People that have keggers in Utah go to Wyoming to bring back the keg.

and if I can get the beer I want at a lower price than some other store, well, I've done a good job.
