What's more accurate:analog or digi. hygrometer?

My growing/fruting chamber has a peep hole(rectangle) near the top that I can conver with black construction paper.
I was wondering if this would be a good hygrometer/thermometer:

Which kind is usually more accurate, digital or analog?

BTW I searched through many pages and didn't find an answer.

Those kind are usually junk. You can get a decent hygrometer at a cigar shop. Get analog because you can calibrate it with a screwdriver from the back. Most digitals can't read up to 99%.

The most accurate kind are mason/bulb hygrometers. Or so I've heard.

Yeah, I've always wondered what was a better type of hygrometer. I've got a digital one and it freak'n sucks.

The only truly accurate measure of humidity is with a sling psychrometer, but it's probably a little impractical for anything smaller than a large martha. Need to measure wet bulb temp vs. dry bulb temp and calculate %Rh from there but we're talking on a greenhouse scale now.

Condensation is caused by a difference in temperature. Condensation is not a good way to read your relative humidity.
