When I enter text I can just select it and make it bold by pressing the Bold button. But when I want to make a link out of text I have to specify the text after clikcing the URL button. I think it would be handy if I could just select the text and make it a link by clicking the URL button.
Does this make sense?

Makes sense and would be handy, especially because you can't move to a different browser-tab to copy and paste the text, after the url, when the input pop-up window is there.

I'm wearing an Amsterdam hat, which means I better agree. :grin:

Also, we need a code that would have an intuititve sense of what text of mine to automatically bold, italicize, and quote. Perhaps it would learn from memorizing the posts I have already made, or something.

Anyways, I'm sure it will be no problem for Ythan to piece together. :wink:

While on the subject of URL's, it seems that only recently they will not accept certain characters in the text portion of the link, for example: '[' and ']' -- which I've often enjoyed using to further highlight links in my posts.

Okay, you can now make a link by selecting some text and clicking 'URL'. It wasn't that hard, but fireworks_god I'd refer you to item #3 in this article. :wink:

And geo you should have your [bracketed links] back.
