Best Way To Clone?

Ok, I have this monster growing off a cake, it looks lke it has a huge arm. I wanna clone this baby.
Could I use a half pint, sterilize some water, then take strands from teh stem of it, throw em in tehre, put glass shards in it, shake it up... then after that dump some peroxide in it to kill any bacteria.. then suck it up in syringes and innoculate?
This would work, wouldn't it?
