i beat another game
    #6358528 -

but it doesnt matter because it wasnt fun.

so i got a few new games, i played through the both of them. then when i finished them i realized i didnt even have fun, in fact it was actually painful and annoying. the only gratification i got from it was defeating the game and that lasted about 10 seconds.
i discussed it with one of my friends and hes been doing the same thing. maybe its a lesson since ive been ignoring the 'path' and being lazy.

defeating the game implies that the whole game is an opposition, something to overcome, to beat, in order to feel satisfaction.

it's possible you might be looking at life the same way you look at games.

what's so painful about the journey?

have you witnessed MMORPG addiction?
when the fun stops, the suffering keeps you going
the anguish of losing your body deep in a dungeon and spending hours trying to get people to help you get it out.
losing that hard earned experience
for what
can you even beat an MMORPG?

use your products, not the other way around!
i used to love roller coaster tycoon so much
it brought me a ton of joy and sparked so much creativity
but after that joy was gone i kept playing it and milking the life out of something already tapped dry.

I am the MacDaddy of Heimlich County, I play it Straight Up Yo!

....I embrace my desire to feel the rhythm, to feel connected enough to step aside and weep like a widow, to feel inspired, to fathom the power, to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain, to swing on the spiral of our divinity and still be a human......
Om Namah Shivaya, I tell you What!

I don't play to "beat" anything... I play games that are fun for me. I am pretty hardcore, and my Xbox gamerscore is under 4000. In the old days (10 years ago), it'd be WAY higher...

I just don't focus on finishing the games anymore, especially now that the games are so much deeper!! I focus more on the storylines and really getting something for my $60.

Also, I like games where you don't really finish anything... Amped, Tony Hawk, etc... Good replay value.

i read something about world of warcraft where people are addicted. they were talking about what you are leery11.

yes that was my realization. the games are annoying because i sit there for 8+ hours untill i defeat them. in my life maybe i focus too much on things, or i get too hung up on things.
