Anyone know anything about this faggot that we traded Freddy Garcia for?

Gavin Floyd is his name I guess. I don't really know anything about him except that he was 4-3 last year with an ERA over 7. I guess the other player was the left handed Gio Gonzalez. I don't know anything about him either.

Bah, I like Freddy Garcia a lot too. If we were going to trade any of our starters it should be Buehrle or Vasquez. They already traded away Neal Cotts and Garcia. They were talking with Houston about trading Jon Garland. I can't wait to see what happens next.

kinda funny... the sox get back geo gonzalez who they traded with aaron rowand for jim thome.. cept they had to get rid of garcia to get him back.. haha

but really.. freddy really didnt pitch very good overall last year.. yea he had some good outings. but othe than the very sparse outing. i felt like the sox were gonna loose most of the time he was gonna be on the mound..

besides, they had to get rid of one starter to make room for brandon mccarthy.. frankly id rather theyve kept buerlhe and vazquez.. both are way better than the years they had last year

No, he didn't pitch well the entire year, but he had two really good stretches. If I remember correctly in the first half of the season he won 7 or 8 straight decisions and then he closed the year 7-2 in his final 10 games. His record was 17-9, which is pretty decent. It's not his career high, but it's pretty close.

Buehrle was just complete shit last year. He's still my favorite Sox pitcher, but he really looked bad all of last year. I believe that he is a free agent after this year (like Garcia) so maybe we should have dealt him instead.

TO me, it was Vasquez that I always thought we had no hope of winning when he took the mound. HE can't go deep into games most of the time. Almost always falls apart and allows runs in the 6th inning. I remember several times that he cruised through 5 innings just to give up 4 or 5 runs in the 6th. His record was only 11-12. His career best record is a lousy 16-11.

It's definately time to get McCarthy into the starting rotation. He's done a really good job in the bull pen and in spot starts. He's definately paid his dues.

Yeah, I couldnt believe this when I heard it. I mean, Freddy was going to be a free agent after next year and he was going to make ALOT of money, so you might as well get something for him.

But was that really the best deal Kenny Williams could make? You know I hate the Sox, but I'd be pissed if I was a fan. I maybe dont know anything about those guys, but c'mon...His name is Gio. How good can he be?

I would have kept Freddy. He's better than Vasquez, and better than Buerhle last year...
