THE MONSTERS BASICS
A WORKING MODEL OF THE POOL
Using Basic Math this Setup allows you 34sqft of Cropping.
Construction Materials:
1- two pools at walmart (9.95 each)
2- refrig. sealent
3- four buckle locks
4- silicon glue
5- Plexi glass (Home Depot does custom cuts for a $1)
6- two kaz hooked up with tubing, etc...
7- *Hepa
8- two grow lux lights(WalMart-Kick Ass Grow Lights for $8.99 each)
Your Custom Pool Chamber is easy to consturct & cheap for size & effieciency.

Hell, You dont need a clean room & have to go through the hassles of worrying about every little contam- A hepa should be enough.

how tall is that once its assembled? i wouldnt recommend growing just in the pool (ie filling it up with spawn instead of using smaller trays inside it). also there are better uses of space since that would take up almost the entire floor of a room. make a shelf stetup and youll save space + still have the sq ftage.
and it looks like a pain to try to get into. most people chekc on their shit at leat once a day if not two to three times...

Wow.. this seems like it's one of those ideas.. that in concept it's good.. but implementation would make it really unreasonable. and besides.. that would ruin my day for sure if i lost a casing that size to contams or rot.
Just my two cents  no bashing intended. Good work on the pics and stuff though, I knew what you were talking about ^_^

the pools are about 1in tall so total height is 36/37in's. I saw a new post about a kick ass air filter from pensacola, fl for about $40's. It suppose to cut your contams down to .001 using ion tech.. With two of these in the room i'd feel much safer from contams versus a HEPA. I wish to try it in the future. Maybe someone else will & would share pics- I would love to see shrooms grown in dairy dung/straw/Grain using this technique with an 18in base. Hell- you'd have your own personal cow field in your room-prime realistate.

The project itself would not be expensive. There are miles of dairy cows about 20miles from my house & plenty of horses to go along with it. Straw & Seed are cheap- 1 bale = $3 / 20lb's millet = $6
I'd like to see Major Millet use this tek as I have seen his pics & been left here amazed wondering what I have to do to improve my tekniuqs (Where's the spell checker when you need one...)

1" depth? do you mean 1'? and if there are two pools atcked, thatd be 2' total, not 36-37"s. wow if you cant add 1 + 1 then i doubt you could do &any* sort of bulk growing. and this is all beside the point since i think if you ever actually built this thing and made one huge patch in it itd be a total fucking failure. seriously this is a bad idea.
and ionizers arent better than a hepa no matter what you read. first off an ionizer just sticks the particles to the wall and other surfaces (like the surface of your casing). so unless you have an *ion collector* that pulls all the particles to it then it is pretty useless for a grow room. and i doubt that a $40 ionizer has this. thirdly even with the collector, it is not very strong and wont catch evrything. at best you would need an additional hepa filter to clean out what the ion collector missed. but this is beside the point again if you are trying to build that indoor pool setup thing...
there are much better designs out there. see for example *3m*s setup.

The Pools Height is 18in's-
These Ionizers are used in profesional labs & filter down to .001 but you are right-
they do stick particles to the side. But if your clean then you wouldn't have to worry about that. In order to use this device correctly you would need two. One for the room & one for your mushies. A hepa filter used along side this device in such a way as to catch all particles before being blown through device would help. Sharper Image sells a Ionizer that uses this technology but it somehow captures all the particles before releasing the air back out into the enviorment. A dedicated Mycologist here at the Shroomery might figure out How to do this. Also you can take some clean whipes once a day & zapp the sides with alcohal.

i have a ion gen i was the one that posted with the pic ok the way i had the ion gen set up with the nozzel through the plastic sticking in the chamber and the base touching the out side plastic WAS WRONG your only using 10% of its power that way u supposed to jus put it in the chamber that u want clean and all the .001 and up microns stick to that 1 thing the base and it also cleans 15oo cubic feet per sec it says i dont have any way to test it but i have a pretty big base ment and i got it all smokey took along time to get it smokey it cleared the whole room up pretty quick all i did was left it in the middle of the floor but i do suggest that if u do this idea make sure the ion gen is sum how above the subtrate cause u dont want it pulling contams throung your subtrate surface. you want to pull them up ward they wont fall back down thats a face its like static once its stuck its stuck and i also found out having metal dosent affect the charge it gives out jus becarefull on what u touch you will get a decint shock enough to know u got shocked, with all the moisture and all

i would think that on that large of a scal the permiability of the plastic by smaller bacteria would become a factor, but then again, i guess lab quality glass kiddie pools would be hard to find..
