This shit should be easy for me, but I'm having problems concentrating. I guess I'm still not quite used to being back in school.

Both can be stupid. People in mainstream culture oftentimes conform to conformity. People in counter-culture oftentimes conform to rebellion.

Yeah......the idea is show how they are different though. When I say counter-culture I'm thinking the core group of people, the ones who are into it because that's the life that fits them, not because it's rebellious. I don't know, I have issues starting papers, but once I get into them I really flow, so we'll see what happens. I've put this one off for a couple days though....can't put it off anymore. I need to email it to my prof by 10 AM tomorrow morning.

Randal.....yeah man, for real.  I should've looked into to getting some sort of "motivation & inspiration", unfortuantely it slipped my mind.  All I have are some brews.....and somehow I don't think that's going to cut it.

hehe i feel you, i have a 12 minute powerpoint presentation due on wed.  Kids in groups have been working all semester on it, i found one article which will give me the bulk of my speech.  The rest is just bullshit, i estimate about 7 minutes of my speech will be devoted to the facts, and 5 minutes of fluff will finish me off in the acceptable 12 min minimum. :laugh:

Just pick out different aspects of one's culture... Music, language, beliefs, etc... Then explain why those who are in the mainstream have not awakened to the idea that they are living in a big system that is feeding them with a silver spoon in order to keep their mind working like everyone else's... explain how mainstream society hasn't learned that the mainstream media is a tool of dictation... counter-cultured people are simply conscious to this and choose to find out who they are instead of buying into the game...

i dunno.. jesus that's a vague topic that you could easily ramble on about for a few pages...

Aha, there's a starting place! Thank you. I'm goin to Montgomery County Community College....in montgomery county PA.  I'm starting off with a couple classes; it's been over 3 years since I graduated HS, and having done nothing useful in those 3 years I figured I might as well check out school....see how it goes.  It's actually been going really good, I learned a lot more in HS than I thought, and remembered it all too apparently.  :cool: I also learned and grew a lot during those 3 years which is making college much easier than HS.  I still have issues actually getting down to studying and whatnot though.  :smirk:  :lol:
