Felt great going back to the skateboard

Well I just got back from a skating session, I haven't skate since my last injury, I destroyed my knee two months ago and still healing, but it feels strong enough at least to cruise and to go for some minor downhill.

Are there any older skaters here, i am 28 and still love skateboarding, now not as extreme as before but still pulls tricks and shit. But since my last injury and no insurance i have chickened out, i hope my knee gets totally healed, but it already looks weird. Any injured skaters out there?

i skated for like 8-9 years back when...

spent quite a few years off...

over the last,maybe, year i've skated a bit here and there,and some friends that bmx got me into that since i couldn't skate at many of there spots.


yea it's cool remembering how fun that shit is...

im not as old as you..but in my mid/early twenties and still skateboard and rollerblade...starting to get cold though..prolly wont skate again till next year
ive never really hurt myself too bad though..worst was when i was about 16..broke both my arms trying to do a huge gap off the top of a building...didnt slow me down though...i skated the rest of that summer with casts on..lol

Dude i injured myself when younger, but take a look how my knee looked, its kinda gross but now its better.

I have met some people that were insane in rollerblades.

I have to do an MRI to see how fucked up are my ligaments and rest, luckily no bone fractures, but the way i look at it I am pretty sure that in short future i might get an operation.

I almost broke my back trying to ollie a 10 stair drunk. I stuck it first try, but the second one I didn't have enough speed and landed completely stiff legged.

I'm 4 years younger then you, but I haven't skated in quite sometime... since a few months before I became preg with my daughter anyway. My friends & I used to skate all around town & build skate ramps & shit. Mad fun.

Nice, just got some minty fresh Zorlac and Skull Skates decks (not reissues), if your into your old school come check out skull and bones skateboards forum, theres a lot of nostalgia to be had.

ya know....ive been kicking around the idea of getting a board again.

i destroyed my ankle about five years back and havent been on a board since.....

too bad its about to be winter here :shrug:

Congrats, bro.  The skating bug is a cruel one--it makes injuries unbearable, yet frequent.  Give yoga a try, it really helps.  I just got into it, and I can't imagine going for a serious session without at least a few mins of yoga stretches. 

I spend 3 hours a day at a world class outdoor skatepark--I have to work 9am to 9pm to make this happen, but I do it gladly.  Here's a few (old) shots of me doin my thing :smile: --
