Was gonna reply to hoopershroomers thread about skateboarding but i thought i'd start a new one instead :smile:

Any fellow rollerbladers here at the Shroomerizzle? Ive been doing it almost half my life but like you hoopershroomer i stopped for ages and just got back into it a year or two ago... its awesome i love it!

When i came back to it i'd lost some weight and got fitter and like you i could do all the old tricks and more, after that i was hooked out rolling every chance i got, theres no better way to spend the summer days than skating all day with some good music then chilling and drinking at sunset

Im expecting some of the typical juvenile "frUitb00terz are gHey" jibba jabba to follow after this post but fuck that i dont give a shit what the woodpushers think, the majority or skateboarders suck ass and cant land shit all anyway... i can skateboard a little too just for the record but i much prefer rolling, there are so many more possibilities on a pair of blades, a lot of areas you just cant reach on a board and you can go soooo much bigger. I cant believe inline has been dropped from the X Games and Gravity Games, it fucks me right off coz in my opinion it's the most progressive of all the extreme sports at the moment, its evolved so much since i started some of the tricks and switch ups the pros are putting together are absolutely unthinkable.

I do appreciate the difficulty and technicality of skateboarding but for me its just not as much fun as blasting all over the place balls out on skates. If you fuck up on a board you lose momentum and your run is over, not on my wheelyboots though! :grin:

So come out bladers dont be shy lets see if im not the only one here!

I've been seeing less and less of you guys at the skateparks. I bmx, so I know what you mean by not losing momentum when you fuck up. Keep on riding man, kudos!

the only trick i could do with blades is jump over the hood of a car, i never found them as versatile in ability as a skateboard... i quickly gave them up for skating, i even got hurt less on the skateboard too.

damn i used to spend most of my days blading during my youth... haven't really been out with my skates for about 8 years now... damn that's a long time... maybe i should break them out of my closet and go do some grinds...

btw these are my skates...

i don't roll but i ski in the park a lot so i love seeing blading stuff, as for the major comps dumping it... they just care about money and money is whats "cool" cool as in every 9-14 y/o wants to buy everything they see, ie boarding lol.
