A better way to harvest

Ok, I posted this, and it got deleted (i think) but it got some positive feed back, but it just sounds like enough of an idea to post it again.

We've all been told one time or another that abhorts are more potent (size for size) than full grown mushrooms... Let's say that a cake has 100 nutrient points (disreguard all the adding of purina dog chow liquid to boost nute levels) And lets suppose that an abhort takes 1-1.5 points to grow and a big mushroom takes about 16 points to grow. Now the big questions is, everything being equal... by picking off the shroomlets before they can get big and loose some potency... Would you end up with the same wieghts?
A cake can out put, lets say 5 grams... Would you rather the mushroom built small potent ones, or big ones?

Please respond, I'd like a discussion on this.

Personally, I like to see my beauties grown to full size, since this is a hobby for me and not a business where I want return customers due to quality products. I guess potentcy really does not matter to me.

note: The above statement is completely fictional. ; - )

I thought about that once. I did it with one flush but I must have done it too soon because the aborts/pins dried to almost nothing. I figured I'd just go with growin' them suckers out.
