"addicted" to this hobby?

I don't know about any of you, but I love growing these lil guys. I love them so much, Its all I been doing since I got back into growing again. I noticed my social life has even hindered, in such as I don't go out and fuck off with friends as much, DEFINATELY attend to and absorb this site, the great shroomery, on just about a daily basis, for multiple hours at times. I find myself giddy and excited to shop for my shroom stuff, such as my next substrate material, or gander at potential new FC containers, daydreaming of what i could do with the set up.
Perhaps the biggest and most rewarding, and enjoyable part of this hobby, is when you get to check on them babies and observe the growth. I find myself upmostly bedazzled and mesmorized at the bewildering beauty of such a strange and erotic life form. I literally will just sit and stare at them forever, studying how they grow, how amazingly fast they grow. And I just started this damn hobby! It feels like its all I am. Can you relate?

yea, today i was an hour late to work cause i started pcing something, and i dont let ppl come over anymore, cause its very obvious there is something up here, and i dont trust anybody. but such is life.

yeah, i've grown once, it was great. looking forward to doing it again, now that i have a much better understanding of it i feel like i could get a much better yield. i was kind of paranoid while my grow was going on though, because too many people were finding out about it. that and i was worried that the wrong person would smell pot outside my door in the apt building, and cops would come about that and find some mushrooms growing.

once i get out of the city and live in a nice secluded area on a bunch of land i can't wait to start it up again.

Tonight is halloween party night at many many places around here, but I'd much rather chill here, get stoned and fuck around on the shroomery and monitor grow then get all dressed up, smashed up and maybe get laid. oh yeah I got percs too!

lol you attend the shroomery on "just about," a daily basis? i come here daily.. sometimes i don't post, but atleast once a day i login. the only exception is when i sleep all one day or i don't have inet access.

okay, I admit it. I am here daily! Ive been dinking around on this site since I woke up at 230 today. wow. thats almost 8 hrs on the shroomery. I did go to one other website tho..for 20 minutes.

I used to grow but quit because too many people were finding out. When I did, though, Yeah It was a totally absorbing hobby... Mushrooms are just such a fascinating life form even if they weren't psychoactive. Add in psilocybin and it's like interesting squared.

Yeah I can relate.. I was never really big into cultivation. Grew some cubes at one point, I've done oyster, shiitake, enokie, agaricus, etc.

I've spent way more time studying and identifying wild mushrooms though. It's a hell of a lot to learn. Takes many years, and even then there are still many things to learn.

I know what you mean, I am obsessed. I love growing psychedelics, and edibles, and medicinals. Although I have only grown the first one. But I am right about to do a large edible and medicinal grow. I watch them allot too, especially when I haven't been growing for awhile. I cant wait to pull off some massive edible and medicinal harvests to share with ALL* my family and friends. Stamets is my hero. I just ordered a new copy of his book Growing Gourmet and Medicinal mushrooms. , Plus I am bidding on a cheaper copy(that I noticed later) and ever cheaper then that, I'm trying to score, both The Mushroom Cultivator, and Growing Edible and Medicinal mushrooms.

I will trade or give away the extra copies to my friends. :love:

I truly believe mushrooms can play a very important part in fixing much of the damage we have done to the earths ecosystems, and thats why I cant wait to read Mycelium Running, Paul Stamet's new book(2005) , I have heard great things about this book, and even an overview is enough to make me excited. :thumbup:

When I walk around I "use my eyes" like a classic old police anti-drug training video suggests, except instead of looking for traces of drugs, or hidden drugs, and trying to bust someone, when I look around, I cant help but see possible fruiting chambers, incubators, and such. I am always looking for a way to make things better.

I have barely had much sleep tonight, but I could rabble and think about mushrooms for hours.

Don't just post in the pub bro, check out the gourmet, and medicinal section, and the grow logs. Hell PM me if you ever want to chat, I love it when a person has the passion for this hobby that I do. :cool:

I don't even like to eat mushrooms that much anymore.  I still have this insatiable urge to grow again though.  It's definitely an addiction hobby, and once I move out of my pops' place I'm swinging into 6th gear.  He's cool with me growing, but there are too many other factors stopping me.  Oh well, I can wait :laugh:
