I need a good virus/spyware program fast!

I need one that is free, I can't get rid of certain spyware and a few virusus...I am sick of these pop up ads. Any advice would help out please... :crazy:

Avast!

It's free and good

or you can try AVG...but Avast! is better

I personally use AVG and Adaware pro 6 I think. they both update every time my pc turns on and i normally do a full scan/spyware sweep every week or 2. works pretty well, especially if you use a browser other than IE.

Avast! is still better, updates all the time too...and it gets rid of spyware, so no need for ad aware.

Go to www.geekstogo.com sign up an account, they will work with you for free and help totally clear your comp from malware. It takes a day or two to get your first response, but its the only way i have ever been able to totally clear my comp when it is full of viruses.

You should be more careful, everybody knows that when you're downloading  porn...a 323Kb file is definately a virus. :crazy2:

Yeah, sometimes that's the only thing you can do short of a clean install. Sucks, but you'll figure it out.

I use Avast! only due to the fact that AVG is not 64-bit compatable.

I have been very stoked on Avast! though, as I was a AVG user for a while.

Also, look for a program named "HiJackThis"... Scans your registry and can delete some stuff in there for quicker loads... Just dont delete shit you dont know what it is. :wink:
