I figured it was time to get an LNC thread off the ground. I know I'll actually be able to check in on the thread for most of the night tonight, for the first time since early August. What's everyone been up to?

Went to a psytrance party on Friday, then pretty much sat around at home the rest of the weekend. Oh, and I went grocery shopping today.

Is it really the weekend? I felt like today was Tuesday.

Anyway, I went to work. Came home. Pizza Delivery: A job which does not require you to know what day it is.

hehe, I am currently in the catering business, a job that requires you to shave, and be friendly. Just up my alley!

And i got to meet the artist Byron Kim last night at the Scottsdale Center for Contemporary Arts that I was helping out at.

I also saw this amazing exhibit (it was the unveiling of it that night) called The Arizona Border Project or something like that...

basically they sent 20 disposable cameras to immigrants in Mexico, and asked them to take pictures before during and after they cross.

THEN they sent 20 disposable cameras to the minutemen, the men who "guard" the border with weapons and shoot those who try to cross.

It was fucking incredible... seeing the art through the eyes of the subject, instead of through somebody outside of the conflict taking the pictures... it was very.... real, for lack of a better term.

the pictures side by side of wounded humans, and humans with pistols and rifles... the families, women children and men on both sides... it was eye opening.

Our Governor was there last night to speak, and also the Mexican Consolate from the Mexican embassy. very moving speech by him.
