that's a fucking lot of money for a show, especially considering how many shows waters has played this summer, and assuming he is already financially secure from long ago

my friend and i got tickets in section X ($36) at the hollywood bowl tonight, but we had no intentions of sitting there. we planned to seat hop untill we finnaly found a spot where the owners werent going to show. it only tooke us 30minutes to find 2 seats with this guy whos friends stood him up. the seats were in the $150ish area. it was great. he even bought me a beer.

as for the show it was amazing. very much of what i would expect of pink floyd. a very good set list. hands down the best show ive seen.

I paid $275 for four tickets ($72.50 a piece).  Face value on the tickets was $56 a piece.  The show I wanted to see was sold out right quick, except for shitty seats - so I spent the better part of a day (about four and half hours straight) scouring all the third party ticket sites, eBay, craigslist, etc... to finally find the deal I did.  Dead center, though a little towards the back (but at the Bowl that doesn't matter).

I agree with Wrestler, this DSotM show made the best use of surround sound that I've ever seen.    Krishna, yes the tickets are pricey.. but if you're like me and have been listening to the Dark Side of the Moon as the soundtrack to so many wonderful psychedelic rendevous over the years, you will be happy to pay it and will not regret it!

mushiemountain, the show itself ended around 10:50pm, and we were in the car and driving home by about 11:30pm (we parked free street-side on Highland north-west of the bowl, facing south-east).  Definitely one of the better shows I've seen.  Now to allow the beautiful afterglow of this show to meld into the anticipation and bliss that will be Phil Lesh, Trey Anastasio, Mediski, and Martin at the Vegoose at Night show I'm seeing on the 28th, doors at midnight, show at 1am!! :laugh:

yeah i payed 230$ total for my ticket. terrace seats. pretty expensive, but i knew i would regret it later on.

damn 11 pm? that's fucking early. i think i will dose at 5 pm then.

Man I saw the DSotM laser light show here in Dallas a few years ago, shrooming my balls of. It was fuckin' righteous. If anyone ever gets a chance you should definately go see it, something you dont want to miss, I promise.

today is the day!!! starts at 7 30, do the doors open at 6 30? i might get there at 6 30 and walk around a bit. probably dose at 5 or 6. we got 4 boxes of whip its for after the show, which isn't nearly enough haha. i might bring some K for afterwards too.

roger waters here i come. i am fucking pumped!

thanks man, will do! couple friends ate this exact same hit i will be dosing today. they said, and i quote, "this was the most amazing day of our whole entire lives." it was the first time though so... haha

Las Vegas Vegoose @ Night festival, over Halloween weekend.  Trey will be playing everyday of the festival but the night showing is at the Orleans Arena just west of the Tropicana off-strip.  www.vegoose.com - pretty sweet lineup, wish I had tickets to the whole shabang, but I'll have my sweet lady by my side so I'm sure the time will be golden delicious wherever I end up! :sun:

Well it's obviously too late now (hope you enjoyed the show!.. how could you not?), but for what it's worth my friends and I dosed right before leaving my place (6:30pm), so after the 40 minute trip to get parked I started to glow on the walk towards the bowl, striking up a conversation with some ol' man who seems to have been around the block a few times in terms of psychedelic music history, and was bringing his kids to the DSotM show in style with the garden box seats.  Give another 20 minutes for our driver (not tripping) to snag a couple of brews and work our way through the turnstiles and by the time we were sitting, we were all well into the comeup and enjoying the backround video and Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young that was being played before the first set started.  All in all, the timing worked out perfectly, myself having dosed 16mgs of 2C-I approximately 60 - 90 minutes before the set began and jiving in the zone throughout the drive home.

that show was fucking fantastic. i wasn't really tripping too hard during the show, but afterwards went back to a hotel and added a little flavor the the trip. ketamine and nitrous...do i need to say more? lovely CEVs and OEVs, kaleidoscopes everywhere.

does anyone else agree that the dark side of the moon pic is basically the symbol for everything?
