my frist hunt

well today i went on my first hunt, i didnt have transpertation to get to the spots i wanted so i jsut walked around the woods behind my house and a couple fields in the area.

i found lots of red capped mushrooms on the outskirts of the woods in the field...i found some little orangeish yellow shrooms growing next to some rotten trees....a lot of white ones on a multch pile (it was awsome the whole multch pile was like one big white shroom cake)

anyways i found lots a nice looking shrroms but two peeked my interest..the first was a slimey capped white/grey with blueing EVERY WHERE the stem the cap everything



Heres a proper examination

Cap: 2-3 inches white/grey with lots of bluing

Gills: orange rust color, some blue specs and some red dots here and there loots like blood?

Stem: 2-3 inches tall, white thick and hallow with bluing

Spores: none yet

Spore Print: none yet

Habitat: grass infront a apt building



And the second looks liek the blue foot



Cap: 1/2 inch to 1 inch tan/brown with real dark brown almost black in the center

Gills: brown

Stem: 1-2 inches tall, brown real thin and hallo no bluing (couldnt see the bottom of the stems it was too dark out side by that time)

Spores: brown

Spore Print: brown

Habitat: in grass on a small hill in the shade right out side woods



Not sure what ive got but nothing feels real promising...one can wish though!! ill have pictures soon next time im taking my friends digi cam! but any input on these would be wounderful thanks for your time!

spore print confirmed brownish color for small (blue foot look alike)

hope this helps in making an ID of these two...the larger one still doesnt show signs of leaving a spore print at all yet.

spore print came back on the bluing shroom found in the grass...its orange bright orange! almost neon...can i get some help figuring out what these are please?

heres a more detailed ID check of the three i have found...if ive left anything out(besides pictures please tell me...


Species #1

Name: (Unknown)

* Habitat-- soil and grass beside apt complex in sort of a sunny area, knoxville, TN USA
* Characteristics of the gills-- orange rust color, some blue specs and some red dots here and there looks like blood?, not attached
* Characteristics of the stem-- 1 to 2 inches, white/grey, hollow, thick,
* Characteristics of the cap-- 2 to 3 inches, white/grey with some sploches of green and lots of bluing, smooth slimey and fleshey, shaped almost like an oval
* Spore print color-- neon orange(dry its more of a duller orange/cream color)
* Color that the mushroom bruises-- blue
* Scent of the mushroom-- store bought with a funky scent

Name: (Unknown)

* Habitat-- in grass on a small hill in the shade right out side of some woods, knoxville, TN USA
* Characteristics of the gills-- chocolate brown, not attached, light brown
* Characteristics of the stem-- 1 to 2 inches, tan/brown, hollow, thin,
* Characteristics of the cap-- 1 to 2 inches, tan/brown with dark brown almost black center, smooth dry and fleshey, spherical
* Spore print color-- brown
* Color that the mushroom bruises--can't tell if anything darker brown
* Scent of the mushroom-- light store bought smell with a touch of chemical scent

Name: (Unknown)

* Habitat- Soild and Grass sunny area, knoxville, TN USA
* Characteristics of the gills-- ash brown, not attached
* Characteristics of the stem-- 1 to 2 inches, white brusing redish purple, smooth and slimey, hollow, kind of thick
* Characteristics of the cap (1 to 2 inches, brown with small little darker brown clusterd spots here and there, fleshey damp and slimey, conical
* Spore print color-- brown
* Color that the mushroom bruises cap bruses a slight darker brown
* Scent of the mushroom-- sorta strong store bought smell
* Anything else you might find important-- found randomly while not hunting under a full moon a bit after midnight...just happend to look down while i was walking and blam there they was saying hello to me...funny thing i had looked near the same spot earlier today and saw nothing!

they all sound inactive to me. Al thought you should wait for someone with more experience then me to confirm this.
