Initiating Cases - When? Specific Question

I have 2 Pint jars each with 1/2 of a 1/2 pint cake cased under alien casing (pete moss, vermiculite, lime) on top of about 2" of perlite with water at the bottom. They've been incubating about 5 days now. If I take the tape off of the jar I can see mycelium growing up into the casing. I can't see the mycelium from the top (there's probably 1" casing, perhaps a little more.

Can I go ahead and cold shock them and initiate pinning?

p.cubensis doesnt require a cold shock to pin..just put it in your terrarium and give it 24 hours of light and plenty of air exchange untill it pins..if it doesnt pin after two and a half weeks in your terrarium...then try to cold shock it
