my dad is in the hospital
    #6112845 -

I don't have a car.. so I can't just drive the hour and a half home, its too late to catch a greyhound, and I work from now until Sunday night.

I won't know the seriousness of it until tomorrow.. but it just leaves me feeling like a bag of shit for not being able to do anything

feeling helpless in a situation like this really blows, keep the faith that he's fine, it'll help you through until morning

thanks man.

its just I was home last weekend, and he was concerned about the chest pains he was having then. We said we would take him to the hospital but the stubborn bastard wouldn't go. Could have maybe prevented something.. It had something to do with bowel blockage, but they couldnt determind what to do about it just yet or something.

i hate docotors!

I hate doctors too, crushed my finger in a punch press last month and refused the doc visit, opted for a bandaid, same for a cut on my head, theres some nerve damage in the finger...

hopefully it's nothing with your dad but slap him around and let him know that any
sort of chect pain should be checked out, he'll be fine this time

I hope everything works out in your dad's favor. I know having a close family member in the hospital sucks.

he has been in the hospital for chest pains before, something different than this time apparently though. It just brings back bad memories. Last time my dad was in there, we were having some serious family issues and I didn't go see him. But when I did see him in the hospital bed all hooked up to machines, it just rips your heart right out of your chest. Reality check, what will you do with out your dad? I am sure he will be fine this time, bowel blockage and all. It is just a reminder that my dad is getting up there, reality bites.
