Not the first time either, did it a few years ago. Lovely creatures, very sociable. I hope they don't get a bad rep because of that Steve Irwin incident :frown:

Yeah, I stroked a few of them when I was in Denver in July. They are quite slimy.

I was a stingray in a previous life, I was very hostile and always looking for humans like yourself to let your guard down...

Went to Blackpool first to visit my cousin who's dieing from lung cancer. Poor guys been saving all his money for an early retirement and then this happens just as he retires :frown:

Spent the rest of the time (pre booked months ago) in Scarborough. The sting rays were at the sea life centre on the North side.

I'm giving up smoking as of tomorrow as soon as I get my nicotine patches...

once while swimming in the sea of cortez i noticed somthing on the bottom of the sea, i couldnt tell what it was, so i reached out and poked it with my hand.

It was a sting ray, one of those little fuckers with the huge singer, and hot damn did it take off quick!

There would be days where you would see entire schools of them under your feet, everywhere youd be afraid to put your feet down!

I've been around them a lot. Aquarium type places.. petted them a few times even. They have kids on field trips from school touch them even.

They are pretty neat creatures.

That sucks,, poor guy. Any chance of him getting a transplant ?.
My mum was offered one for another condition but she turned it down, now i think she's past the age where she's eligible..

I have my re test next Friday, i reckon that'll be one of the first places i go..

Swimming with Manta Rays is really cool as well, those fuckers get huge and they're curious guys.
