just a minor suggestion

just something i have encountered a couple times with smileys..

would it be possible to have a mouse-over feature for them. so when someone uses them in a post, you can figure out how to use it later, instead of having to search the panel

Right click, copy image location, then paste it in the URL box, you'll see the name of the .gif such as smile.gif or poop.gif

The smiley is then :[name of .gif without .gif part]:

yeah i mean, i guess it would still be neat to have.. but OMR offered a suggestion that would work.. so im not too worried about it now

i just hated when i saw a greamlin i liked, and then had to try and track it down.

It's not as straightforward as you'd think, because smileys have already been converted to HTML image tags by the time the post in stored in the database. Changing the format of the image tag (to include 'alt' or 'title') wouldn't affect older smileys, and post editing wouldn't work properly with them. It's not an insurmountable problem, but any solution would be inelegant. So far that's been enough to keep me from pursuing it.

Its nice to have this feature, I too use the :smileysname: often, instead of using the smiley panel and now you can ID them better.
