keg beer.... "shelf" life?

how long will a refrigerated tapped keg (CO2 system tap) last?

I'm thinking of turning an old refrigerator into a 'kegerator'....

figure it should save money on beer expenses... plus, who the hell doesn't love good keg beer :smile:

couple of weeks? I know its a hell of alot longer than a pump tap....

kept cold, id say about a month or 2. But don't forget to clean your beer lines. The beer will taste like shit if the lines are dirty. Most bars/taverns have there lines cleaned every 4 weeks.

For refrigerated CO2:
Non-pasteurized = 45-60 days.
Pasteurized = 90-120 days.

Keep the beer around 36-38 degrees farenheit.
