Looking to try somthing different tonight. All suggestions are welcome. Looking for somthing that is easily obtainable at any grocery store or convenience store. What is your choice of beer?

Yeah Killians is good. Sierra Nevada is pretty good. Rolling rock. There's so many, just go for the coolest looking label.
Maybe you'll get lucky.
Oh. Get Steel Reserve, its horrible, but it'll knock you on your ass quick. Or Mickey's is good, its malt liquor though. A few tall cans of Mickey's makes for a good night

No particular type really. What I mainly drink are the 16oz pounders. Usually ICEHOUSE,Red Dogg, or Old Mil. Sometimes Natural ICE. They are all cheap.
I'm looking for a good quality beer tonight regardless of price
Some Iv had:
Corona << My favorite Guiness (didnt really like it) Budweiser Coors Old Vienna Rolling Rock
Just looking for any suggestions doesn't matter what type bro. Just quality beer or malt beverages. (iv had all the smirnoff variations, mikes hard lemonade, bacardi malt bev, and zima)

If you can find a good import place, look for Duvel. It is a belgium Ale and comes in a 4 pack. It is kinda pricy, but then again, it is almost 8% alcohol.

Go with Mickey's if you've never tried it. Its one of my favorites.
Tastes pretty good, and it gets you drunk!

Yeah Iv had the Killians Irish Red. That is definately a good brew. I might get a 6 of that tonight. Still looking for another 6 though.
Is Mickey's anything like a Smirnoff Ice and would I be able to get it at a grocery store in NYS?
edit: I'm not going to pick it up myself and I dont want to send afoaf down there and have him come back with the usual.

Mickey's isn't anything like smirnoff if you ask me. I know most grocery stores around here carry it, don't know about your area though.

No, its nothing like Smirnoff, that's vodka. Mickey's is a malt liquor, the taste is kind of strong, but I find it pretty good. Its not to pricey either, tall cans are the way to go.
You'd probably be able to find it at just about any convenient store/gas station. At least around here it's pretty common.

the old school shit was a lot creamier.
I think it's licensed by miller brewing company now or something.

this is 100% correct. ESB Redhook is the most satisfying, thick and great tasting beer i have found next to Boddingtons, but not many places have Boddingtons. Also, fat tire, but it is harder to get than world peace...Newcastle is great, and if you live around georgia go get some Sweetwater 420...
also... Magic hat, Abita amber/turbo dog.
Duval isnt geared at all for american taste, so unless you want a musky over fermented harsh tasting beer, dont get Duval (also, i think it is about 13% by volume, not 8)

There's only one bar around here that has it on tap.
Draft beers $2, too.
Too bad the bar is a shit hole. Why can't the classier places have premium beers like Blue Moon?

yea, they do a few of them actually..they have 'squatters' ale.. from salt lake...(they have another one too I forget the name..)I hate it though..I like seirra nevada pale ale better...it is just expensive and the liquor store isn't open on sunday..you can buy it at the store but it only has 3.2% alcohol in it...the state liquor store only has beer that is 5% or more...

I can't get any of those czech beers around here. I am sure they are damn good though. It's basically a Russian brew correct? Send a case my way hah..
Edited to add: Only Russian alch I can get around here is Vodka. (I think anyways) My favorite being Cristall. Absolut is also premium shit.

Czech beer is unique and cheap. Czech grains have a robust flavor. They were making brews long before they were part of the Russian Empire. It is obviously in Europe's heartland.
Kinda' like Cuban cigars, French wine, and yes, Russian vodka.

I would like to have a czech brew. There are no possibilities of getting any czech brews in the states specifically NY?
Edit: Will any companies ship to the states?

If Blue Moon sounds good, why not try a REAL Belgian White Ale? It goes great w/ a wedge of lemon.
Hoegaarden White is the original white beer, brewed with unmalted wheat and spices such as coriander and dried orange peel. The beer has a naturally cloudy appearance because it is not filtered and has undergone a second fermentation in the bottle or keg. Its sweet-sour and spicy taste makes it a unique, refreshing easy-to-drink specialty beer that is distinctively different from ?the usual pint of lager?.
* 55 % malted barley ; 45 % unmalted wheat. * Addition of spices: coriander, dried orange peel and hops. * Top fermentation (25?C), bottle pasteurization after main fermentation. * Living yeast is added again before bottling/kegging, thus allowing a second fermentation in the bottle or keg. * There is no filtration. * Bottles and kegs are stored in warm rooms during 2 weeks to allow the secondary fermentation process - the yeast process improves when T? is high. * Hoegaarden White is a 5 % alcohol by volume wheat beer. * Hoegaarden White has 12.1 degree Plato. * Hoegaarden White is: o brewed following an authentic recipe o brewed with natural ingredients (mineral spring water, unmalted wheat, barley malt, hops, yeast, coriander, dried orange peel) o an unfiltered beer o refermented in bottle and keg o naturally cloudy * Color: hazy & soft yellow. * Sour-sweet, soft bitter taste with a fruity aroma. * Hoegaarden White is naturally carbonated. * There is no oxidation following oxygen pick up during the filling. * Thanks to the second fermentation, the yeast protects the beer microbiologically against the aging effect (no pasteurization is needed nor done after secondary fermentation) resulting in a longer shelf life.
AWARDS
The outstanding quality of Hoegaarden White is confirmed by the many international awards it has won in the past years:
* Gold award in the ?specialty ales? section at the 1999 Australian International Beer Awards * Platinum award at the 1998 World Beer Championship in the USA * 1st Prize at the 1997 Stockholm Beer Festival. * Supreme Champion at the 1997 International Food Exhibition in UK (300 competitors). * Gold medal in the category ?Belgian style White Wheat Beers? at the 1996 World Beer Cup in the U.S.A. * Silver medal at the 1995 World Beer Championship in the U.S.

I wasn't very fond of Guiness Extra personally. Don't get me wrong it was a decent brew. Just didn't like the taste that much but it was tolerable. Got me reallllyyy hammered on St. Patty's day though. had (drank approximately 24 between 8:00pm and 2:00am when I layed down)
I am 75% italian and a Quarter Irish so on St. Patty's day I always have to celebrate my Irish heritage with an Irish brew!

i read the first page and no one mentioned deschutes brewery, probably the best all around brewery on the west coast. My friends an i would make a beer pilgrimage from San Francisco to Oregon every year and hit up all the breweries. Humboldt county puts out some good stuff. These are some good ones by names of breweries and my faves from them Deshutes-black butte porter, obsidian stout http://www.deschutesbrewery.com/splash/default.aspx Sierra nevada-pale ale, stout, porter http://www.sierranevada.com/ rouge-porter and stout http://www.rogue.com/ lost coast-porter, stout, http://www.lostcoast.com/ North coast and old Rasputin for the real beer drinkers http://www.northcoastbrewing.com/ And for the summer we drink coors or keystone And for when we are going gangsta we drink the IDES
Shit Crap tire i mean fat tire- new Belgium brewery sucks ass and its not like i cant drink a good beer. Budweiser, Rolling rock any mexican beer any red ale hefe's are for bitches

The trick with Guiness Extra is you must take BIG swigs of it. Drink it like it is Snapple.
Sip it, and the bitter will kill you.
I prefer Regular Ole Guiness Stout. Great from the keg, with a proper pour.

Yeah I hear you man. That definately makes since. I like the thickness of the Guiness extra but at first I was sipping it. By the end of the night I was pounding them and they weren't so bad. That and I was already cocked so nothing mattered. hah.
I'll have to give Guiness Stout a try.
When me and my buddies get keggs we usually just go with Budweiser. I think Bud tastes damn good out of kegg. Doesn't taste good any other way IMO.

true dat!..it is all the same after so many anyway, I don't like to get severely drunk..it just brings back too many memories..drinking too much seems so nasty when you have been sick for a long time though..but then again it is the same old drunk feeling again, with the hangover..

Went for a locally brewed beer that I haven't tried yet up until tonight.
Saranac Adirondack Lager (Matt's Brewing Co.)
I'll tell ya.. I'm definately not disappointed with this brew. Actually very tasty. It's cool that it is brewed so close to home too. About a half hour from my house actually.
"Saranac Adirondack Lager is craft brewed with pure Adirondack water, bottom fermented and fully lagered to carefully balance the sweetness of two-row malt with the delicate bitterness of American cascade and German Hallertauer Hops."
