Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds, soaked in water and now am I on the right path?

I think I messed one up. I had a seed for a few months in the fridge which I thought wasn't viable. I decided for the hell of it to just nick it and soak it, and then plant it. I watered it and kept the humidity high (plastic bag over the pot) and then I got impatient and wanted to "check up" on it and I noticed that it DID germinate. There was a small white node coming out of the seed. I quickly covered it with soil again. Did I ruin this seed from progressing?

Now my real question. I got 2 seeds yesterday, nicked them and soaked for a little over 12 hours. They're swollen so I took them out of the water and planted them in some potting soil, watered them, put them in a plastic bag (air still available, it's not sealed) to raise humidity and put them under fluoros. So now it's just a waiting game to see if they sprout, am I on the right track?

Once they do, what conditions do they prefer? I am growing them indoors.

Over the summer I grew on of these in a pot. I just stuck five of them in a pot of potting soil and kept it watered. Five days later one stuck its sprout up.
