Early September Hunt

Found my first Armillarias of the year. Ringless Honey Mushroom - (Armillaria tabescens) All over the place. Armillaria mellea should be out very soon in my area.
A view of the bottom of the ringless honey mushrooms.
Xerulas.
A rotting bunch of puffballs.
An interesting looking little puffball.
A Pluteus cervinus.
Oysters that are in the mature stage. I found a couple patches of these today. This one looked a little different than usual.
Found another "Gilled Bolete". For some reason I find exactly one of these on almost every hunt. Strange coincidence
Some old rotting gilled mushrooms coming out of a log.
A little coral mushroom.
Collybias were all over the place. I saw around 4-5 different species growing in all sorts of areas. They were the most common mushroom out there on this hunt.
Found some C. molybdites growing in a grassy area before I went into the woods.
Gills in closeup detail, hardly any sign of green, but the spores did come out green on paper. There was also another huge one that was triple this size. I couldn't even take it home it was so big. It basically broke under its own weight while I was carrying it.

Very nice finds! However I have no clue what most of them are, but you know I'm no good at this. Are any of them active or are they all edibles?
Congratulations on 10,000 posts, it's an honor to have you here bro! Here's to 10,000 more.

Hey mattz. Some of them are edibles, none are active though. The ringless honeys, oysters, and puffballs. I wouldn't bother with the rest. Probably wont be consuming any of these finds. The C. molybdites is poisonous. I'm still waiting to find a better oyster patch, some hericiums, laccarias, A. mellea, and chickens.
The later into September and October it gets, the more species there will be out there. Sept, Oct, and Nov are the best months for hunting in my area.

Nice post mate. those honey fungus are a real pest here in australia = the mycelium is super ballsy and it eats at the root system of many trees. I was reading that whole suburbs are having their gardens undermined by super colonies of these guys.
Oh an Whattstorch i love that pic in your signature.

10,000 posts, so no sleep is the key?
Nice pictures, I have never found an acorn with a mushroom growing from it. I haven't found the green gilled lepiota yet, either.
