Ah cool, I have always been into space exploration.. i's fascinating. I have somewhere around 30+ hours worth of space documentaries on tape (all that I taped from shows when younger).

Maybe this is how our universe was made. We are all here due to a Hadron Collider experiment. Maybe our universe is still in the collider, maybe we will create a universe in our collider.

This thing might bring about the end of the world.

They say that the risk is 10-40 but thats patent nonsense because it ventures into an area of physics that we know virtually nothing about.

For all we know it may create a shockwave of some sort which in a radius of a few meters will detach the protons from the neutrons of the matter in the area. In that case the earth will transform into a rapidly expanding white hot ring of plasma.

This ass fact cannot be disproven by science because.. we don't really know WHAT will happen, thats why we're building the damn thing. What we do know is that we're in an area packed to the brim with enormous energies that are stabilized in different ways. One gram of anything can explode about as powerfully as the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined, if its atomic structure somehow came undone. We should do this kind of research in deep space, instead of on our only inhabited planet.

Didn't they talk about this machine in that Nova movie on String Theory? I think this is that HUGE machine that's literally supposed to answer the questions of the universe.
