Can Cobweb mold cause sickness?

My friends goat had 12 jars that were boiled a little bit less time then necessary accidentally. Brown molds grew in most, black in one, and one jar seemed to be fine. The jar was birthed and was al white, smelled about standard, but a few days in the terranium and this musky smell started coming. He thought it could be from the brown clay rocks/geo-lite but noticed after a week the cake had an inch of white fuzz everywhere around it, and not a single pin. After just coming over a sore throat, a strange cough took over my friend. For a week now he coughs all the time, coughing up dark green mucus with even darker spots in it sometime. I am getting him to dump out the mess right now, he says the water still smells disgusting and all the rocks too. He complains of back pain in the lower spine as well. Could this just be a bug or is it most likely the cobwed mold or a brown mold that somehow hid inside the cake and grew white fuzz? I told my friend to see a doctor tommorow, but he is scared as to wheter the symptoms will improve...

This could be VERY serious and related to smelling deadly mold. There is a VERY lengthy thread here from awhile back about a person here geting very very ill from smelling a contanamated jar. I just did a search and I cant locate the thread. But take my word for it... it can be very serious. NEVER smell jars. Some teks say to do this, but it's better safe than sorry!

My friend thanks you for the advice. He is on Keflex now, quick tests for strep and mono were negative, culture and bloodwork will follow... The doctor and her assistant both laughed at the idea of a mold or fungus on bread causing the infection.
How nice of us it is to build such spaceous homes for deadly microorganisms.

Fuck the doctors. Read that thread and you will see that the doctors laughed at that guy too.
I went thru the same shit once. I was told that I had streep.. I didnt... it took me months to fully get over it, I thought that I was gonna die.

Does anyone know whatever happened to JayBin? Haven't seen a post from him in awhile.

Unless he is allergic to the spores, cobweb is harmless. The contaminants that can be harmful - generally causing a type of disease known as 'Staggering sickness' from brightly coloured contaminants and a type of meningitis from yellow/brown yeast

Oh my god !!!!!
I had no idea mushroom cultivation was so dangerous. I have some jars that I forgot to sterilize just sitting in my closet. My friend said to just keep them becuase we might want to use them or something. Man those jars are sick looking. He said well clean em so we can use em. After reading that I am scared shitless. If he wants those fucking jars he's gonna have to clean em himself. It sounds like thats some dangerous shit.

I agree. It's not cob-mold, rather it's possibly a yeast. (not good)
I trust that with a little rest that he will be fine.
